True Italian has just announced a brand-new photo contest on the occasion of the next Italian Street Food Festival: you can win a three nights stay in the capital of the Italian street food tradition: Palermo.
The suspense is finally over, and the Italian Street Food Festival is back again. You can feel the excitement in the air. The upcoming weekend, June 24th and 25th 2021, Berlin is hosting one of the greatest food festivals ever organized in Germany, fully dedicated to Italian street food, in the vibrant Osthafen location. (Alt Stralau 1-2, 10245 Berlin, S-Bahn Treptower Park). Everything is ready: 15 among stands and food trucks are participating (here you can find the whole list), along with an incredible DJ-set warming up the atmosphere. But there’s more! After the great success reached in 2019 – before Covid-19 temporarily stopped us – we’re launching a new photo contest, that gives you the chance to win a three nights stay for two people in the real capital of the Italian Street Food: Palermo. The five-star Grand Hotel Wagner is happy to welcome you as their guests and offering you also an incredible culinary (and not only) experience.

How to participate
This year’s contest is celebrating your food creativity. The rules are quite simple: during the festival, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th July, come to the Osthafen, take an original and funny picture with one of your favorite offered specialties, and post it on your Instagram profile (aka. on your feed). Share with us your love and passion for good food: the 10 most unique and playful pics will have the chance to be selected by our special jury and be reposted on our IG stories (@trueitalianfood). It will be our followers then, who will decide for the one-and-only winning picture!
These are the rules to follow, in order to take part in the contest (NO STORIES, POSTS ONLY):
- Tag @trueitalianberlin in the pic;
- Use the hashtag #italianstreetfoodfestival;
- Geotag at the Osthafen Berlin;
- Post your pic on your profile no later than Sunday 25th at 11 pm.
- You can post more than one picture, but they must depict different specialties.
How to win
Our special jury will select the TEN most original and creative pictures among all. Second of all, on Monday 26th, these ten photos will be posted on the Insta-stories of the profile profile trueitalianberlin, where the audience will be able to vote the best one through a poll. Only after the canonical 24h duration of the stories, we will announce and reach out to the contest winner. The most liked picture will win the longed-for first prize. In the event of a tie, the first posted picture will be selected as the winner.
Stay in a five-star hotel in the heart of Palermo
As already anticipated, the author of the most voted picture wins a wonderful three nights stay at the elegant Grand Hotel Wagner, a five-star accommodation situated in the heart of Palermo historical center. The lucky winner can book a Classic Room in a previously agreed period, between October 2021 and March 2022 (excluding holidays). Nothing better than a relaxing trip to capture the real essence of the traditional Palermitan cuisine. The flights to Palermo are not included in the prize.
