Bari, one of the most beautiful and charming cities in Italy
Bari is one of the most beautiful and appreciated Italian cities. An extremely coveted location especially for summer vacations, it is literally taken by storm by tourists from all over the world even throughout the rest of the year. And it is not difficult to understand why. From the Cathedral of San Sabino and the Basilica of San Nicola that characterize the Old Town, to the majestic Norman-Swabian castle, passing through the dreamy seafront. These are just some of the many places of interest in Puglia’s capital, all to be discovered even within a day or two and – I highly recommend – by foot. If the cultural offer is one of the most interesting of the Italian panorama, the culinary one is certainly not inferior. The typical cuisine of Bari ranges from the unmistakable focaccia, which according to the locals is eaten at all hours, to the panzerotto and the renowned orecchiette. Right in the historical center, immediately after Arco Basso, there is one of the most traditional streets of the city, renamed precisely “orecchiette street”, where it is possible to admire the hands of the ladies who every day prepare kilos of fresh pasta.
The Instagram contest: how to participate
Now that we have captured your attention, here are the rules for the contest: from November 22nd until the 28th, visit one of the 33 participating restaurants and order the specialty of the True Italian Pasta Week 2021. Capture the dish or someone eating it, use your creativity, and publish it on your personal profile before Sunday, November 28th at 11 PM. Remember that only posts (pictures, reels) will be considered, not stories. These are the rules for the picture publication in order to be admitted to the contest:
- tag the profile of @trueitalianfood in the picture
- put the hashtag #TrueItalianPastaWeek in the description
- localize the post in the restaurant in which you took the picture (of course, it must be one of the 33 restaurants participating in the event).
How to win the contest
The True Italian team will select the 10 most original and creative posts among all. Then on Monday, November 25th, the lucky ten will be posted on trueitalianfood Insta-stories, where the audience will be able to vote the best three through a poll. Only after the canonical 24h duration of the stories, we will announce and reach out the contest winner based on the most liked picture/reel. In the event of a tie, the first one posted will be selected as the winner.
The prize
The winner will win a three-night stay for two people at Palazzo Calò, a structure in the heart of Bari which embodies a real journey between history and future: a residence of the sixteenth century completely renovated with innovative criteria, for a comfort full of charm. The dates of the stay can be freely chosen by the winner according to the availability of the structure. Flights are not included in the prize.
