True Italian on the wave of last year’s huge success, reproposes a photo contest, offering a special stay in Catania as a prize.
The return of the fourth edition of the Italian Street Food Festival is finally right around the corner. This weekend, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th June 2022, Berlin will host at the OST Hafen (Alt Stralau 1-2, Berlin), the biggest Italian street food event ever seen in Germany. Everything has already been organised, there will be almost 20 participating stands and to make sure nothing is missing, the event will be enriched by an extensive programme of DJ sets and entertainment.
But surprises are never-ending! Also this year you will be able to participate in the photo contest and win a fantastic 3-night stay for 2 people in Italy’s most renowned city for its street food tradition, Catania. The hotel that will host your stay is the Hotel Meo Design Suite & Spa .

Italian Street Food Festival 2022 photo contest: how to participate
This year’s contest will once again reward originality. The rules to participate are very simple: during the two days of the festival, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th June, you will have to visit the Italian Street Food Festival – at the OST Hafen Friedrichshain – and take a photograph of your favourite speciality offered by the stands. A piece of advice? Put all the creativity and imagination you have into it and post it on your Instagram profile. Communicate all your love for food through your fantastic shots: the more original, funny and unusual the photos are, the better chance they will have of being selected by our jury.
The rules to follow when publishing your post (no stories!) to be eligible for the competition are as follows:
- Tag @trueitalianfood and @italianstreetfoodfestival profile in the photos;
- Mention the hashtag #italianstreetfoodfestival in the post description;
- Locate the post by indicating OST Hafen Berlin;
- Publish the photo by 11 pm on Sunday 19 June;
How to win the contest
The True Italian jury will select the ten most beautiful, original and funny photos. Once the selection has been made, on Tuesday 21 June, the ten photos will be published via Instagram stories on the @trueitalianfood profile and you will decide, tapping on ? or?, which photo most deserves to win a stay at the Meo Design Suite & Spa hotel. At the end of the Instagram stories deadline, i.e. 24 hours after their publication, we will announce and contact the winners of the contest. The winner up for grabs will be the photo among the ten selected received more ?. In the event of a tie, priority will be given to the photo that was published first.

The creator of the most original photo will win a magnificent stay at Meo Design Suite & Spa, the most modern hotel that evokes the Baroque Catania of yesteryear, located in the heart of Catania’s historic centre.
