True Italian Pizza Week 2022: one week to enjoy Pizza + Spritz with 15€ in 29 of the best pizzerias of Munich

From 15 to 21 September, 29 of the best pizzerias in Munich will be presenting a special offer: a special pizza of your choice out of two and an Aperol Spritz for just 15€.

After last year’s success, we are once again announcing this initiative for the third edition of the True Italian Pizza Week in Munich.

Pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, artichokes, date tomatoes, black truffle or pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, salami, gorgonzola, garlic, parsley or pizza with tomato sauce, spicy salami, provola cheese, yellow tomatoes, grated pecorino or pizza with Fiordilatte mozzarella, buffalo mozzarella, courgette strips, prawns…

These and many more are the delicious pizzas on offer at True Italian Pizza Week, which returns to the city of Munich this year after the success of the first two editions in 2020 and 2021. The event will also take place simultaneously in Berlin and in 10 other German cities: Cologne, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hanover, Leipzig, Mannheim, Münster, Nuremberg and Stuttgart.

When? From 15 to 21 September 2022. The aim of the event is to celebrate the emblem of the Italian gastronomic culture, a symbol of Italian spirit par excellence and since 2017 also a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Numerous pizzerias will be involved, the toppings and doughs chosen, but the formula is fixed: an original or classic Italian pizza to choose from two types accompanied by an Aperol Spritz at the special price of 15€.

True Italian Pizza Week, how it works

The True Italian Pizza Week will take place from Thursday 15 to Wednesday 21 September 2022 in 29 selected pizzerias in Munich (and at the same time in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Hanover, Cologne, Leipzig, Mannheim, Frankfurt, Münster, Nuremberg, and Stuttgart). Participating in the event is easy: go to one of the participating pizzerias during this week and ask for the event menu to enjoy a real Italian pizza in two variants (also vegetarian or vegan) together with an Aperol Spritz or a soft drink for only 15 €. True Italian Pizza Week, take part of it and win!

As always, True Italian is also organising an Instagram contest:  take a photo in one of the participating restaurants and post it on your Instagram profile. You could win a trip to Naples (flights + hotel for 2 people for 3 nights). Please follow these rules while posting your picture: tag the profile @trueitalianfood, use the hashtags #trueitalianpizzaweek and #togetherwithaperol and localize the restaurant. True Italian Pizza Week, the map

During the seven days of True Italian Pizza Week, in all the cities involved in the event, it will be possible to find a map based on that of the means of transport in order to find your way around the various participating pizzerias and discover each one of the relevant address and the pizzas on offer. The map can be found as a paper flyer in all participating pizzerias or as a downloadable PDF , and on Google Maps. Keep it even after the event, you may find it useful if you want to return to visit the restaurants that impressed you the most!

True Italian Pizza Week, organizers and partners

True Italian Pizza Week is organised by the Berlin Italian Communication agency within the True Italian project and with the collaboration of Campari Deutschland. The event is supported by the City of Naples and the Italian Cultural Institutes in Germany.

The True Italian Project

True Italian is a network that aims to preserve authentic Italian restaurants in Germany through its trademark (registered with the Deutsches Patent und Markenamte the EUIPO) and a series of initiatives and events throughout the year. True Italian are all those ambassadors of Italian cuisine who, starting with the choice of ingredients, demonstrate their commitment to spreading good eating every day. Let’s be clear: when it comes to True Italian, the focus is not the nationality of the chef/manager or owner, but the approach to cooking. Originality of recipes and quality ingredients: these are the two key criteria that guided us in our choice of the pizzerias involved in True Italian Pizza Week 2022.
