Ready for the most Italian, Christmasy and foody weekend of December? From the 8th to the 10th of December the Italian Street Food Festival is coming to Berlin in a whole Christmas dress!
The Italian Street Food Festival – Christmas Klimbim Edition is happening this weekend, Friday, 8th, Saturday, 9th and Sunday, 10th, in the Arena Market Berlin (Eichenstraße 4a, 12435). There is going to be an outdoor area with many street food stands offering the best of the Italian street food and some highlights of the Christmas tradition, and an indoor domain with Italian delicacies’, arts’ and crafts’ stands.
But as usual, we would like to involve our visitors even more: we want to make you sing at our karaoke, we want to make you dance along the notes of the performances by Daiana Lou and by the Crucchi Gang Duo, we want to enchant you and we want to make you feel the Christmas atmosphere with the voices of the Projekt KiezChor and we want to make memories at our photobooth!
Instagram photo and video contest
During the whole weekend a Christmas inspired photobooth will give you the chance to capture wonderful memories to collect in this year’s Christmas album… and to try to win some amazing Italian delicacies!
Everything you’ll find at the Christmas market can come in handy to make the most creative, fun and original snap: use our props, the delicacies you will find at our stands, the products you just bought at the stands, but come prepared… a great Christmas memory can not miss a nice Christmas jumper! What better occasion to show off yours? Reindeer, snowmen, trees, presents, lights, the more the better… Exageration is the key!
Follow these 4 easy steps to participate in the Instagram contest:
- Take a creative picture or video of you during the Italian Street Food Festival – Christma Klimbim Edition and post it on your Instagram profile (Instagram Stories will not be taken into consideration and make sure you a public profile!)
- Tag the @trueitalianfood profile in the post
- Use the hashtag #italianchristmasmarket
- Geo-localise the location at the Arena Market Berlin
You have time till Monday, December 11th at 11 a.m. to post your picture or reel.
After that the True Italian team will select the the funniest and most creative posts and on Tuesday, December 12th, these will be re-posted on the Instagram stories on @trueitalianfood’s profile. The followers will then decide, via polls, which photo or reel deserves to win. When the Instagram Stories expire, so 24 hours after their publication, we will announce the contest winner, i.e. the one who has received the highest number of upvotes.
The winner will be contacted also via Instagram DM and he can pick up the prize at Berlin Italian Communication’s offices in Gryphiusstraße 26, 10245 Berlin.
The first prize: “Evening Essentials” by Siciliamo
Siciliamo provides the winner of our Instagram contest with a box that smells like Sicily: their Evening Essentials gift box.
A touch of Mediterranean luxury counting some carefully selected Sicilian products: from the essential ingredients for an exclusive savoury starter such as extra virgin olive oil, green olive paté, wild fennel pesto and tomato pesto, to a sweet carob honey to end dinner on a sweet note. On which italian dinner can a fine bottle of wine miss? Also in Siciliamo box you will find a “Cerasuolo di Vittoria” red wine.
To make you feel as if your were on holiday on the island, Siciliamo also taught about a couple accessories for the setting: a ceramic cork, two underglasses for you glasses of “Cerasuolo di Vittoria” and a ceramic ashtray. All unique and meticulously handcrafted by Sicilian artisans and ceramicists.

The ENTRANCE fee will be 4€, but it will be free for kids under 12 years old.
